Can I order a size smaller than the minumum size?

Please check with us before placing an order if you require a smaller size than the minimum. Whereas we are able to comply most of the time, we are a LARGE FORMAT printer company and are unable to cut all
materials small. If you want to know if the material you need can be cut down to a smaller size, contact us via email at info@tradebanner.com or give us a call at  (888) 900-6539

Is it possible to order an specific size other than the ones listed? (Example: 26.75" x 34.85")

Since we do not require bleeding or crop marks in your files, our printing process allows us to make the cuts for products as exact as possible as you may need them.

If you need your product to be printed in a size not listed, when selecting your products simply choose the next round number in size. (NOTE: Most products will let you type in the exact size.) For example:
26.75″ x 12.5″ (Size Needed) would be 27″ x 12.5″ (Size to Select) It is
also very important that you create you artwork to the exact size or
exact scale. Last but not least, please include in your customers
instructions the note : “PRINT TO EXACT SIZE”. This will notify us and
confirm your request.

How does Turnaround Work?

What is turnaround time?

The total time taken between the submission of an order for execution and the return of the complete order to the customer.

What are the cutoff times?

The order and the file has to be received by 12pm (noon- Pacific Time Zone) for SAME DAY orders and 2pm (Pacific Time) for NEXT-DAY Turnaround.

When does the Turnaround start?

Turnaround time begins once your file is uploaded and approved. If there is an issue with a file (for example, it is not in the right scale) Turnaround will begin once the NEW file is uploaded. All the
times are based on normal business days, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. Please note this does not include shipping time.

Our goal is for every customer to be totally satisfied with their purchase. If this isn't the case, let us know and we'll do our best to work with you to make it right.

How long will my product last?

We are unable to accept returns on certain items. These will be carefully marked before purchase.

Can I get a sample of your materials?

We will work quickly to ship your order as soon as possible. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with further information. Delivery times vary depending on your location.

What can I do with my banners after I am done with them?

You may want to recycle your banners if you (or your customers are done with them).

There are a few companies out there that can help with that. Our banners are printed using eco-friendly ink and we do recommend that you recycle them whenever possible.

You can find a recycling center here:  http://www.vinylinfo.org/vinyl/recycling-directory

You can also re-purpose them with companies such as Gorilla Sacks into branded products: http://www.gorillasacks.com/pages/Recycle-With-Us.html

How Do Static Clings work?

Despite it’s name static cling vinyl does not actually cling to the application
surface with static electricity.  How can this be?  It even has static in the name. Static works similarly to magnetism.   Two objects with the same charge will repel; they push away from each other.  If the vinyl decal had a static charge, then it should not stick to itself. In fact, it should push away from itself.

It’s not static electricity, so what is it? “Static” clings work like a flat suction cup due to its highly polished feel; they can cling to smooth surfaces such as glass or marble at different humidity levels.

Shipping

How Will my Products be Shipped?

All our products are shipped using FedEx. All our shipping rates are calculated in a way that gives the best shipping rates for our customers.

Please be advised: We do not recommend shipping bigger than 40″ x 40″ as damages can occur in shipping, there is also an extra charge for oversized shipments.

Yes, but only via FedEx. Our shipments are made through FedEx and we do have an option for Saturday Delivery. For Saturday Delivery request please contact us by phone.

Artwork Files

How should I prepare my file for printing?

You will find the file preparation instructions for each product in the lower section of the product you select. We strongly suggest you take the time to read all of the instructions to prepare the file at its best.

General File Preparation:

Create your file in CMYK mode with a resolution of 300dpi.

If you file has been created in RGB or includes RGB objects, we recommend converting the file to CMYK.Do not include bleeding or crop marks in your artwork. Your artwork should reflect only what you need to be printed in the final product. When selecting regular hemming, leave a 1.25in safe area within your finalized artwork. This area is where the hemming will go over the banner. Make sure there is no important text or logos in this area.

Before you upload your artwork, be sure your artwork is sent in the same size or ratio as your order. In order to provide you the fastest turn around, all artworks for Large Format products are sent directly to press. We will not be responsible for any reprints if your file is sent in size ratio different than the measurements specified in your order.
If you need a decimal size or special size, you may request it through our “Estimate” section.

If you are working with vector images (in programs like Adobe Illustrator), the final size artwork is not necessary unless you have placed photographs into your document. Then the above guidelines will apply.

All fonts should be converted to curves or outlines. We suggest your files to be flatten or rasterized if possible to minimize the file size.

What types of files do you accept?

We accept the following file formats: EPS, PDF, PSD, PSB, TIF, PSD, AI and JPG. For AI files you must outline (vectorize) all texts. For JPG files it is strongly suggested that the JPG is created the closest size possible to the final print size.

Files that we do not accept include, Word Documents, Corel Draw and In Design files.

What can I do to reduce the file size?

To maintain your file at a smaller size you may create the file at the final size and reduce the DPI to 150.

You may also create your file at a 50% scale and maintain the DPI at 300. This option may pixelate the image very minimal. Keep in mind that photographs placed in working files keep their own resolution properties and its always recommended to work with the largest resolution possible on photographs.

Artwork Colors

How can I achieve a rich black?

To achieve Rich Black, meaning a darker tone other than the mere black alone, one must set all CMYK values to 100%.

Sometimes CMYK blue color looks purple, how can that be corrected?

CMYK Blue many times gives the illusion of a purple tone. To guarantee that you will get a true blue you may set the following
values: C=100  M=80  Y=0  K=0

Just be advised that although this works most of the time, different materials do absorb ink differently. This is our recommendation.

How do I achieve a real Red in my coroplast signs?

CMYK real red means a balance in the reds and yellows.

You may set the following values: C=12 M=100  Y=100  K=3

How does 4-Color Process Printing work?

Process printing uses 4 colors which, together, are known as CMYK:

  • Cyan
  • Magenta
  • Yellow
  • Black (Keyline)

The CMYK artwork (which you will have supplied) is separated into these four colors – one plate per color. The four CMYK inks are applied one by one to four different rollers and the material is then fed through the printer. The colors are applied to the material one by one,
and this produces a full color spectrum typically used when printing photographic types of images, or graphics with lots of color depth.

Can you use a file created in RGB mode?

We can use a file created in a different color mode HOWEVER, we print using a 4-color process, this is why the artwork we request needs to be created in CMYK mode. We do not recommend customers to create final artwork destined for print with RGB (Red, Green, Blue)  images in
place, or with RGB  color swatches in use as RBG is a screen color mode. When artwork is created using RGB, the results are unpredictable. Please note that just because your color inkjet or laser printer prints out OK on them it does not mean it will be OK for press. Since the colors are a mix of dots over other dots, there is a good chance color
will vary from printer to printer and job to job.
